Dr. William Baratedi
Dr. William Mooketsi Baratedi was born during the mid 60s in his home village of Moshupa. He trained as a Nurse in 1985 and upon qualification he had a short stint with Kweneng District council. He later on joined and trained as an army officer. Dr. Baratedi enjoyed soldering for twenty years where he became a renowned clinician and administrator.
On retirement he worked for three years with the Ministry of Health and Wellness as a lecturer at the Bamalete Lutheran School of Nursing. In 2015 he joined the University of Botswana as a lecturer in the school of Nursing. Dr. Baratedi holds Diploma in Registered Nursing and Midwifery from National Health Institute, Gaborone – Botswana, Bachelor of Nursing Education and Masters of Nursing Sciences from the University of Botswana.
He did his post-graduate in clinical nursing at the Second Military Medical University of Shanghai, China and graduated for his Doctorate in 2013 from University of South Africa. He is currently a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana and Tebelopele Voluntary Counseling and Testing Centre.
