  1. FINANCE AND ADMIN ASSISTANT X1 (GABORONE)

Reporting to the Finance Officer, the Finance and Admin Assistant provides assistance in monitoring of financial management, as well as programme, travel, human resources and general administrative support as well as some data and research assistance.

1.1 PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of adequate systems to facilitate accurate recording and reporting of all financial data including provision of financial management support for the College.
  • Assist with the provision of financial data which is accurate and timely
  • Be innovative and put in place systems for the development and monitoring of revenue, budgets, Payments, Tax for the college (SAT and WHT).
  • Together with other Finance/College staff, assist to review budget justification to ensure it relates to budgeted amounts.
  • Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts on monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly funds transfer requests and ensure daily banking when there is cash receipt in the office and monitor bank account balances as well as the transfer of funds between accounts.
  • Liaise with bank(s) to ensure that branch bank mandates are current and up to date
  • manage accounts payables, and receivables and timely reconciliation of the same
  • Provide the Finance Officer and Finance Manager with Weekly creditor’s analysis and reconciliation.
  • Receipt Funds or monies paid to TVCTC/College and carry out monthly Accounts Receivables.
  • Undertake account reconciliations fixed asset maintenance.
  • Provide assistance to administration of student’s payments and communication.
  1. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor‘s degree in business related field (Commerce, Accounting, Finance) or
  • Full accounting professional qualification – AAT, Diploma in Business Studies and Accounting or other comparable/equivalent qualification is acceptable.
  • A minimum of one year experience in any accounting related field will be advantageous or two years government internship in Finance or accounting.

  • Achieve priorities within tight timelines
  • Awareness of educational technologies including online delivery § Proficiency in use of MS Office
